Compustar Unveils New Products Ahead of Remote Start Season

Heading into the 2024-25 winter season, the Compustar Team is excited to unveil several new remote start and security solutions, including six new remote kits and thirteen new bundles. The big news with these new products is our refreshed 3-button remote designs, available in two variations – the Compustar Pro G18 and Compustar G17.
3-Button Remote Design: The Best of Both Worlds
For the past ten years, Compustar has always offered two remote button layouts: 4-button and 1-button. Each presented their own advantages and disadvantages to meet customers’ needs. 1-button remotes were compact and convenient to use, but lacked trunk release and siren control. Alternatively, 4-button remotes gave users access to all of these functions, but felt too large for customers that were already carrying bulky key fobs for their vehicles.
When our team designed the Compustar Pro G18 and Compustar G17 remotes, we wanted to offer customers the best of both worlds. The Pro G18 and G17, which are available in 2-way and 1-way versions, are slimmer and more compact than our 4-button remotes. Both of the new remotes have three buttons for Lock, Unlock, and Remote Start.
What about Trunk Release? Hold UNLOCK for 2.5 seconds.
What about Panic/Car Finder? Hold LOCK for 2.5 seconds.
What about Auxiliary functions? Tap START and then tap LOCK (Aux 1) or UNLOCK (Aux 2).
6 New Remote Kits and 13 New Bundles
This product release announcement marks Compustar’s largest-ever product overhaul. All remote kits will now include two remotes and select products will include a Drone X2-LTE module for unlimited-range smartphone control and GPS tracking.
