VERY POOR Remote Battery !

Have been a Compustar customer for well over a decade, and my personal references have had many family and friends also purchase systems. But the batteries all my previous remotes lasted several months before needing a charge, the new remote does not last a week, sometimes only 3-4 days so extremely disappointed so could not recommend this remote until I find out if it is defective or if this is normal.
